The same diploma, by a different road.
A UC degree earned by transfer is a UC degree. The diploma does not carry an asterisk. Yet most families never seriously consider the path, because nobody sat them down and explained how it works. The Transfer Track is that conversation, followed by two years of disciplined execution.
Who this is for
- Families choosing a strategic 2-year community college start with UC or CSU as the destination.
- Students returning to college on the transfer path.
- Families who want the same discipline applied to a debt-aware degree pathway.
- Students who understand that the UC diploma from a transfer is the same UC diploma from a freshman.
What we do differently on the Transfer Track
- ASSIST.org plans built for every student in their first month of community college.
- TAG (Transfer Admission Guarantee) filed for every eligible student across the 6 offering UCs (Davis, Irvine, Merced, Riverside, Santa Barbara, Santa Cruz).
- IGETC and major prep tracked semester by semester.
- Cal Grant, honors program, and faculty mentor guidance to maximize UC and CSU offers.
- Honest conversation about which community college transfers best for your student's target.
Mentor note
The Transfer Track is led by Karina Zhang, our Head of Admissions, working with senior mentor support. UC-alum senior mentors joining for the Fall 2026 cohort.
